WhatGreenCar?, an environmental independent guide to green cars in the UK, rated the top ten cars that had the worst fuel efficiency. Everyone knows that the Hummer is one of the worst gas friendly cars, but surprisingly, it is not the worst. The cars were rated based on the total environmental impact of each car’s lifecycle (fuel and vehicle) with a score between 0-100 and were rated based on vehicle class. Surprisingly, the Mini Cooper S convertible is on the list for mini vehicles with a rating of 56 even though it has a fuel economy of 32 miles per gallon. For sports utility vehicle, the Hummer H3 had a rating of 92 but I am not really sure why this is the top vehicle in this category when the Hummer H1 and H2 seem like more obvious choices. For sports cars, the Lamborghini Murcielago had a rating of 132 and is the highest rated car that has the worst impact on the environment. If you can afford to purchase one of these, you should probably pay for the offset for buying the car since money is not an issue.
