Cost Cutting Panel Home Construction

homepanel Cost Cutting Panel Home Construction

Unfortunately, affording your own home in the bay area is very unrealistic for many people especially for the current generation. If you can afford to build one however, here is a cost saving advice that could save more than $50,000 and reduce the time frame a house in half. Architects Jim Zack and Lise de Vito recently built a three-story home in Glen Park using a panel system by Forma Homes. An architect’s design is first created into 3-d CAD models, and then contructed on an automated assembly line by machines. The precut lumber panels are then shipped and constructed efficiently on site in six weeks. This saves a lot of lumber waste because you do not need to cut off and measure out lumber since the lumber is already custom cut. The exterior sheathing is also made of recycled wood remnants instead of plywood and uses non-off-gassing adhesives. This seems like an obvious choice for custom new home construction and hopefully it will be a standard for new custom home constructions.
