June 30th, 2007 Alex
Ferrari has a new concept car called the FFX Millechili that uses new environmentally-friendly technology. The main goal of the new technology is to increase efficiency by using the least gas consumption to enhance speed. This is something that sports cars have been doing for years but now with Hybrid technology, it will be a new technology that will help make sports cars better, faster, and more efficient while also being good for the environment! The Ferrari FFX Millechili will use electric drive train to boost its power as well as to increase efficiency. It will be made using the standard carbon fiber as well as plastic and cardboard which along with carbon fiber makes the car lightweight which, will also help efficiency. It will also have a new active aerodynamic underbody, with jets that channel airflow underneath the car which would increase speed and efficiency. Hybrid cars is definitely where the future of car technology is going to be. Almost every single car manufacturer, if not all, are developing their own Hybrid vehicles. You can see some more green concept cars by other manufacturers here.
