greenhouse Green Houses

Green Real Estate is becoming more popular now as some people in the housing market want to specifically look for eco-friendly houses as mentioned in this article from CNET. Chris Bartle, president of Green Key Realty and organizer for Green Drinks SF, recently helped Heather Stephenson find a green dream home. Stephenson, the CEO of IdealBite recently moved from New York to San Francisco. Many realty companies have started integrating solar panels into construction and are adding other green amenities as well. Currently, green buildings make up 2% of all U.S. Construction, but McGraw-Hill predicts that 5-10% of house built by 2010 will offer more green features. Green Key Realty, a firm specialized in eco-friendly homes, is definitely seeing the interest and demand as they grew from having two real estate agents last year to seven this year.  Although building green may cost more, it adds a better resale value and prices have continued to decrease as demand has increased creating a bigger market for green materials.
