vail ski Ski Resorts Impact on environment

The results of the Annual Ski Resort Scorecards for California are announced and Kirkwood Mountain Resort received an F. So I guess if you want to ski green, you shouldn’t be going there. Bear Valley Mountain Resort and Northstar at Tahoe didn’t do so well either. Alpine Meadows was number 1, and the usual favorite ski resort, Squaw Valley was ranked number 2. The Ski Area Environmental Scorecard criterias aer based on storm water runoffs, wetland destructino, the amount of energy burned, and how many pollutants are given off from the resorts. There is practically no real snow right now up in the Sierras although the storm this weekend might bring a little. Thanks to global warming, I am not even looking forward to going up to go to snowboarding anymore since there never seems to be any snow!
